Diablo 4: Blizzard shows the Burning Hells in the new video – what’s behind the design?
Blizzard is showing a brand new video for Diablo 4, which in turn is the start of a new series of developer videos.
Titled “The World of Sanctuary,” it gives you deeper insights into the Burning Hells.
What defines the world?
In the video, members of the development team explain “how they created the darkest, most immersive, and expansive version of Sanctuary”.
Among other things, it is about the dark and macabre style of Diablo 4, which is reminiscent of the second part. Each zone promises distinctive environments and memorable dungeons.
More Diablo 4 news:
“One of the artistic goals was to make each scene feel like a painting, so every shade of color and texture was carefully worked on to achieve the desired sinister result,” it says.
The careful design extends to the monsters in Sanctuary, of course. You can also interact with animals that live in the zones.
You yourself move freely between the individual zones and discover there what the open world has to offer you.

An open beta will take place next month, and there will also be an early access phase. Diablo 4 will be released again on June 6, 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
