Even big-budget TV productions like HBO’s The Last of Us don’t run smoothly. In the sixth episode of the post-apocalyptic series, for example, a mishap crept in that only very few of you might have noticed. It’s always amusing.

This error is about: Just before Joel and Ellie reach Jackson, the two travelers cross a snow-covered bridge. The camera shot changes to a bird’s-eye view… and, well? Do you notice? If you look closely, you can see a group of people carrying film equipment on the left of the picture.

These are not filming mushroom mutants. Even if the idea is of course terribly funny. This is quite simply a part of the crew that apparently nobody noticed during the post-production of the series. Involuntary fame for those involved.

The whole thing is a bit reminiscent of the “Coffee Mug from Westeros”, who appeared in the fourth episode of Season 8 of Game of Thrones. Actress Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) later explained that the mug must have been hers. It was a Starbucks coffee from a location near the set.

More on Episode 6: Also appearing in the current episode of The Last of Us series is a character that is most likely a key character from Part 2, namely Dina. And speaking of part 2, a second season of The Last of Us has already been confirmed, in which we’ll likely see more of the character.
