Forza Horizon 5: Second expansion will be presented very soon

Soon it’s time again: step on the gas and drive through Mexico. Developer Playground Games has announced that the second extension fr Forza Horizon 5 will be presented very soon.

More precisely, the DLC will already be this Thursday February 23rdpresented as part of a Live streams from 6:00 p.m. The developers have not yet revealed any further details, but fans of the open-world racing game can probably look forward to a large load of new content.

Forza Horizon 5: What is known about the second DLC so far

So far, the world of Forza Horizon 5 has been expanded with one DLC: The Hot Wheels Expansion was released in July last year and brought a new playground to Mexico, but detached from the rest due to its structure. There are no details about the second expansion yet, but according to Microsoft, there should again be a new location with new events and cars on board.

Even the teaser image on Twitter announcing the live stream hardly allows any conclusions to be drawn. In the forums and social networks, however, there has been speculation for a long time that the second expansion could possibly be dedicated to the rally theme. It is fitting that the Twitter image shows many hills and a desert-like environment.

Another collaboration with a toy manufacturer, as in the case of Hot Wheels, is unlikely to happen. It is considered likely that the second expansion will again take a more realistic approach, similar to Blizzard Mountain for example at the time Forza Horizon 3.

What about Forza Motorsport?

As Forza Horizon 5 heads straight for the second expansion, it lasts Forza Motorsport a little longer. after that racing game was already announced for 2020, it should actually appear in spring 2023. But the plans were apparently changed a bit.

At the recent Xbox Developer_Direct on the one hand, the developers showed new gameplay material, but didn’t have any real news on the release date. The spring of 2023 meanwhile became just a simple 2023, which suggests that the new series part needs a few more months of development time.
