The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story: New teaser trailer shows chain-busting cinematic
Announced just a week ago, Riot Games is giving away the single-player title The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story with a fresh teaser trailer now further attention.
That from DigitalSunthe development studio behind the roguelike moonlightercreated RPG revolves around League of Legends character Sylas, who was stripped of his freedom by the titular Mageseekern. In the new promotional video he therefore swears revenge on the kingdom of Demacia and will stop at nothing to put his devilish plans into action.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story – A Tale of Revenge
you said the original announcement still from a spring release, the new trailer for The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story contains the ominous words “Coming soon” – the new single player will soon be up the PC, the Nintendo Switch, the PlayStation 4 and 5 as well as the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S land.
While the one-minute video reveals the platforms of the game, fans excited about the gameplay are unfortunately left sobered: the teaser trailer only shows a cinematic about Sylas, who is crouching in the dungeons of Demacia and enraged freeing himself from his bonds. After all, the chain sprinkler can’t do anything from inside the prison.
The story about Sylas’ revenge plans from the video and his background story in League of Legends can be puzzled together, but the gameplay component has so far remained vague. A 2D pixel action RPG is set to become The Mageseeker, using a top-down perspective and certainly Sylas’ ability to steal magic from others.
More single player plans from the League of Legends developer
As soon as The Mageseeker appears on all platforms “soon” it will continue with other single-player titles from Riot. Many more League of Legends stories still want to be told, for example with CONV/RGENCE and A Song of Nunu. The two titles are planned for summer and autumn.
Once again, of course, characters from the Moba universe are in the foreground, on the one hand the time-manipulating rebel Ekko, on the other hand the Yeti-riding Nunu and his fluffy friend Willlump. Both games were originally supposed to be released last year, before being pushed back to 2023 at short notice.
