Kerbal Space Program 2: Launch trailer is intended to get players in the mood for the early access title
Just in time for the early access start of Kerbal Space Program 2, the developers have released a cinematic launch trailer for the game. Above all, failed space expeditions can be seen in this, which should probably also await some players.
It’s been almost twelve years since the space simulation Kerbal Space Program was released as an Early Access title. The release of the final version followed in 2015, and 2019 was with Kerbal Space Program 2 announced a successor. This same one was released yesterday – again as an Early Access title.
Explosions as core content
The developers were there last week a gameplay trailer ready, which shows, among other things, the new, clearly polished graphics of Kerbal Space Program 2. Another video was also released yesterday: a cinematic trailer intended to get players in the mood for the fascination of spaceship construction.
Actual gameplay cannot be seen in the two and a half minute clip. Instead, the beautifully rendered video shows what made up a large part of the predecessor: failed space expeditions that are presented with humorous staging. In addition, the launch trailer also hints at some features that the game will still be missing at launch. The journey shown between solar systems, the construction of space colonies and the multiplayer mode should therefore only be submitted later in the course of development.

It is not yet clear how long it will take for Kerbal Space Program 2 to receive these functions: there is no official release date for the game yet. If you take the predecessor as a reference, it will probably take a few years for the Early Access game to become a finished game. And by then, many rocket constructions will probably fall apart before they successfully reach orbit.
