That’s behind Dark and Darker
Dark and Darker is a mix of dungeon crawlers and titles like Escape from Tarkov. However, the surprise hit is aimed at everyone who is tired of machine guns, pistols and the like. Instead, the game puts you in a medieval fantasy setting in which you defend yourself with swords, shields and magic.
The game principle: You plunge into dark dungeons with up to two other comrades-in-arms and loot everything there that isn’t nailed down.
At the core of the dungeon crawler is not just looting, but also PvP. The crux is that in the dungeons you not only encounter monsters to fight, but also other players. If you lose out against the other dungeon looters, you will lose all of the loot that you had previously laboriously bagged.
Have you tried Dark and Darker yet? If yes: What is your impression of the dungeon crawler so far?
