from Sarah Petzold
Electronic Arts is currently asking individual players if they would be interested in a remake of Dead Space 2 and 3 in the style of developer Motive’s recently released game. The reactions of the fans are different.

The Dead Space remake was very well received by fans and critics – apparently so well that Electronic Arts is now considering further remakes. The publisher sent out a poll to select players asking them how interested they would be in a Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 reboot.

Find fans: The story of Dead Space 3 would have to be completely rewritten

A player shared the poll on Twitter, prompting some fans to be quite enthusiastic about the idea of more remakes. A key aspect that the reboots would definitely need to address though would be the story, particularly with Part 3. That the developers at Motive would be able to do that, his is sure a fan with the Twitter handle @Psilocervine:
“With the sheer amount of narrative tweaks and changes they made to the first game that made me fall in love with the game all over again, I would LOVE to see what they come up with [Dead Space] 3, a game I’ve given every chance in the world to have, but can’t enjoy.”

In any case, the fans on Twitter agree that the story of Dead Space 3 should be completely rewritten or at least significantly revised. Some players also find that Dead Space 3 needs a remake much more than Dead Space 2. But there are also other voices: users EZcheezy about means, Dead Space 3 is lost anyway, the developers should rather make a Dead Space 4. He’s not the only one with this opinion – but we assume that Electronic Arts will prefer to play it safe and according to the results of the survey a remake of Dead Space 2 and 3 is quite likely.
