Assassin’s Creed with Aztecs and more: Ubisoft reportedly has 4 more secret offshoots up its sleeve
More Assassin’s Creed titles are on the way!
The Assassin’s Creed series currently seems to be having its very own renaissance. Ubisoft has presented a number of projects in the past that we can look forward to in the coming years. But behind closed doors there are already ideas for new AC titles that are not just pure single-player adventures.
Rumor – 4 more Assassin’s Creed titles in the pipeline
What games are you talking about? Insiders Gaming claims to have learned from its own anonymous sources that Ubisoft is said to be planning four more titles to come after the games that have already been announced.
These are the following project names, which should initially serve as placeholders for the final title:
- Assassin’s Creed: Codename Nebula
- Assassin’s Creed: Codename Raid
- Assassin’s Creed: Codename Echoes
- Assassin’s Creed Nexus 2
Project Nebula will take place in three different locations: India, the Aztec Empire and the Mediterranean. The game was reportedly pitched by Ubisoft Sofia, known for their work on Assassin’s Creed 3.
Ubisoft Chengdu, on the other hand, has pitched a project raid. The codename Raid seems appropriate, as the title is intended to be a free-to-play game in which four players* have to complete missions in PvE mode.
Another pitch comes from Ubisoft Annecy. The developer studio pitched Project Echoes, which is set to become another multiplayer title. The game is said to be based on Ubisoft Scalar technology, which is a hybrid of cloud gaming and using your own computer power.
A sequel to Assassin’s Creed Nexus is also in the pipeline, although Nexus itself hasn’t even been officially announced yet. The Nexus series are not classic AC games, but linear VR adventures.
Keep in mind that this is just a rumor though. The above AC titles have not been officially confirmed by Ubisoft.
We probably know most about Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is scheduled to appear in 2023:

Assassin’s Creed Mirage – This is how Basim’s adventure looks in the trailer
We already know these Assassin’s Creed games
The next game from the Assassin’s Creed universe will first of all be Mirage. In it we slip into the role of Basim Ibn Ishaq and experience the story in Baghdad. Two other projects that will follow in the future are Codename Red and Codename Hexe. A new mobile offshoot is also to follow, codenamed Jade.
There are also other projects Ubisoft is working on. Another multiplayer experience is to be Codename Invictus, but no other details are known about it. Along with the first nexusspinoffs, there are a total of 10 Assassin’s Creed games that we can potentially look forward to.
If the other four games actually make it into development, the release of the titles will take time. We’ll probably have to wait about six years for the games to see the light of day.
