Anno 1800 update: Free week and post-launch soundtrack in March
Anno 1800 is slowly coming to an end on the PC, but it’s only just getting started on the consoles. Ubisoft has announced a free week of building game starting with the launch of Anno 1800 on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. In addition, the complete post-launch soundtrack will also be released.
On the PC, with Update 17, the “farewell patch” for Anno 1800 will soon be approaching, but on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles it should only get started. The building game will be released on these platforms on March 16th. Now Ubisoft has announced a free game week that will begin with the launch on consoles.
Free Week provides access to the base game
The Free Week for Anno 1800
will take place from March 16th to 23rd. Players can download the title on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X | S as well as for the PC via Epic and Ubisoft Connect. You get access to the complete base game and can also play together with friends in multiplayer. If Anno 1800 is bought after the free phase, the game progress from the Free Week will be carried over.In addition, Ubisoft announced the release of the complete “post-launch soundtrack”. A limited edition of “The Four Seasons” vinyl is now almost sold out. The rest of the soundtrack will also be released digitally. This will be available from the end of March on platforms such as Spotify and iTunes. Ubisoft wants to keep players informed as soon as the soundtrack is available.
Anno 1800 will be released on March 16th as a standard or deluxe edition for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The console version will run at 30 fps and only gamepads will be supported. In addition, crossplay must be avoided. Also, there will only be the base game with cosmetic DLCs. So far it has been said that there should be no content from the four season passes for Anno 1800 on the consoles.
