Dead by Daylight is to be filmed – News
The hit asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight should be filmed. However, the project is still at a very early stage, as neither a director nor a screenwriter have been hired so far.
In order to realize the implementation, the game developer Behavior Interactive has teamed up with two film studios, both of which have already gained experience in the horror genre. In addition to Blumhouse Productions, which is currently working on a game adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s will also work with Atomic Monster Horror Specialist James Wan (Saw, Conjuring) be involved. Wan is already convinced of the potential of the game:
With Dead by Daylight, the Behavior team has made a declaration of love to the world of horror, creating an incredible setting full of atmosphere and terrifying villains, perfect for a spooky movie adaptation. At Atomic Monster, we’re huge fans of the game and are thrilled to be working with Blumhouse to bring this terrifying world to the big screen.
Since its release in 2016, Dead by Daylight has grown into a huge hit in the gaming world, reaching over 50 million players worldwide, with around two million playing actively every day. The basic idea of the game is that a group of players try to hide and escape from a killer.
