First trailer of the anime of Pokémon is revealed

The Pokémon Company has released the first trailer for the upcoming series of the Pokémon animated series and it gives us some more details about the main characters.

We have already been introduced to the protagonists Liko and Roy, as well as Captain Pikachu and his partner Friede. Apart from the protagonists, we also get a glimpse of a new character and what other Pokemon we can expect to see in the series.

Liko, who is from Scarlet and Violet’s Paldea region, has a mysterious pendant and seems to be searching for something. Roy, from the Kanto region of the original games, is an ambitious trainer who wants to challenge the Pokémon of legends. Roy also has a Mystery Pokéball, which will probably play a role in the plot.

Friede has now been confirmed as a Pokemon Professor, though unfortunately we didn’t get any new information on Captain Pikachu.

Pokemon seen throughout the trailer include Oshawott, Charizard, and Electabuzz. Ceruledge, who was introduced in Scarlet and Violet, appears alongside a character in a dark suit with a half-and-half hairstyle (in case you didn’t realize it’s supposed to be somber).

The new series will kick off on April 14 in Japan with a one-hour special.
