Lidl tools? Wera, Wiha & Knipex can be bought at Amazon with hammer discounts
Tools can be found almost anywhere these days. Even discounters are trying their own brands, especially Lidl. Germany’s second-largest discounter already took the market for cordless screwdrivers in its tongs with its own brand Parkside. Apparently, Lidl understood the phrase too literally, because now pliers, screwdrivers, socket wrenches, crimping pliers and the like are actually a topic in the Lidl brochure. On Monday, February 6th, the electrician’s tool can be found in hundreds of stores. Of course, electricians place particularly high demands on the quality of their tools, and presumably they now want to score points with do-it-yourselfers with exactly this quality requirement. However, professional quality is rarely found at discounters, at least that’s what experience teaches us. Quality still has its price, also in categories such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, ratchets or ratchets and tool sets. To mark the occasion, we looked around at the popular online retailer Amazon and discovered some great discounts. Many products from the German brand manufacturers Wiha, Wera and Knipex are significantly reduced, often by more than half. Whether Kraftform Kompakt, Joker and Zyklop (Wera) or alternatives from Wiha and Knipex: screwdrivers and more can also be bought at bargain prices outside of hardware stores and discounters.
Tools such as screwdrivers & sets from Wiha, Knipex, Wera: price highlights (selection)
Lidl alternative: tool set consisting of screwdriver & pliers and much more. from Wiha, Wera & Knipex up to 61% cheaper
Lidl addressed in his current prospectus Craftsmen who want to be protected up to 1,000 volts. Under the Parkside brand, Lidl sells a “14-piece electrician’s tool set”. It contains the odd pair of pliers plus a screwdriver, neatly garnished in a tool bag. The discounter will also have a smaller socket wrench and screwdriver set in its range from Monday, March 6th. All of these products are part of Parkside’s own brand. Since the discounter is not necessarily known for professional quality, we present you with some alternatives below. For example, Wiha has a tool folder for electricians with side cutters, stripping tools and more, which Amazon is currently selling 27% below the manufacturer’s price. At Wera you can save a lot of money with a set of Kraftform compact screwdrivers and Knipex pliers – Amazon sells it with a 61% discount. Knipex even comes with a fully equipped tool case. Amazon is also countering Lidl’s crimping tool set with a top-of-the-line range from Knipex.
Tool set not only for electricians: Wera, Wiha & Knipex as an alternative to Lidl
Insulated screwdrivers for electricians: Wiha, Knipex & Wera (Kraftform) with a wider product range than Lidl
Kraftform is what the German manufacturer Wera calls its ergonomic screwdriver handle. In addition to Joker and Zyklop, it is probably the best-known brand from the Wuppertal company. The Kraftform handle can also be found on the insulated screwdriver or screwdriver, as it is popularly called. Of course, you don’t have to be an electrician or have similar training to use insulated tools. It can make sense to be on the safe side. You can also buy screwdrivers from Wera, Wiha and Knipex as a tool set with discounts, similar to how the discounter sells its Parkside tools bundled in the current Lidl brochure. Even Wiha’s Lift-Up series is insulated against electric shocks. The German manufacturer hides several blades in the handle; Amazon is currently selling it 43% cheaper. A maximum of 63% can be saved in the area of screwdrivers.

Screwdrivers without VDE marking: Wera tools (Kraftform, L-key) & Wiha
Insulation against electric shocks is justified, but it does not make sense in all areas, nor is it necessary for all occasions. This can be the case, for example, with Wera’s screwdriver chisels, i.e. screwdrivers with a metal head that you can bang on. Such screwdrivers are exposed to high loads, regardless of the Kraftform handle. Insulation would not last long, would quickly look tattered and shabby, or even limit your work because screwdrivers would get stuck. There is also not a risk of electric shocks everywhere in the motor vehicle sector or in the home. While Wera gained notoriety in online retail with labels such as Joker, Zyklop and Kraftform Kompakt, Wiha appeals to tool lovers, for example, with the “Stubby” screwdriver in mini format. Bits (cross, slotted, torx, hexagon socket) are easily hidden in the handle. The “Lift-Up” system, which accommodates an entire bit set in the handle, can be used universally – and is certainly also a gift idea for a friend, spouse or sprightly grandfather. In any case, you can also save in this area – up to a whopping 62%. Lidl and Parkside, even if it is self-confidently advertised in the brochure, cannot keep up in terms of product variety.
Other tools from Wera & Wiha: Also bit sets, Micro-Kraftform screwdrivers for electronics technicians, L-keys etc.
Also exciting: Bosch 18V battery with a 53% discount – cordless screwdrivers, drill sets, circular saws, etc. much cheaper
Open-end wrench (Joker), socket wrench & ratchet (Zyklop): Additional tools from Wiha, Knipex & Wera – also available as a set and for your pocket
You can find more great offers from Wera in the official Amazon store of the Wuppertal company.

In addition to the offers in the Lidl brochure, the discounter also advertises products from the open-end wrench, socket wrench, ratchet or ratchet and sockets category from its own Parkside brand on its website. In this area, both Knipex and Wiha and Wera come up with competing products that can sometimes be bought on Amazon for half the price. A 28-piece ratchet set from Wera from the popular Zyklop series is 57 percent cheaper. It not only contains nuts, but also one or two screwdriver bits. You can even buy a Wera Joker open-end wrench for more than 50% less. Whether it should be a tool set, a single open-end wrench or a socket wrench is of course entirely up to you. One or the other set, keyword Zyklop Mini, even fits in your trouser pocket. Ultimately, it is difficult to draw the line between the individual products. The Tool-Check Plus also contains a small ratchet and sockets, but also a Kraftform screwdriver handle and various bits (Phillips, slotted, torx, hexagon).

Crimping pliers from Knipex, side cutters from Wiha & more: pliers not just for electricians
The tool sets in the new Lidl brochure also include electrician’s pliers from Parkside, and on top of that they are sold individually on its website at a ridiculous price. Of course, this tool is also offered at a lower price than with brand manufacturers. But here, too, it is questionable whether quality and discounter price go together. Wera may not have any discount alternatives this time, as the Kraftform, Joker and Zyklop labels tend to be limited to screwdrivers, ratchets and open-end wrenches and the like. However, Wiha and Knipex are well positioned in the area of pliers. Amazon also offers these as tool sets with discounts. Of course, Wiha and Knipex offer a much broader range of products than the discounter, which only occasionally offers such tools. Knipex has the areas of crimping pliers, pliers wrench set, pipe pliers (Cobra) as well as side cutters and stripping pliers in the portfolio. Wiha also has some of these on offer. Even if we would like to draw your attention again to the fact that only qualified personnel are allowed to work on the electrical installation: You do not necessarily have to be a craftsman to use a crimping tool. Even hobbyists use the Knipex Preciforce crimping pliers for small projects, which proved to be the test winner in the Haus.de test. You can buy it on Amazon with a 36% discount. If you want to save, you don’t automatically have to go to the discounter.

Cordless & cordless screwdrivers from Einhell: When Wera ratchets, Wiha screwdrivers & Knipex pliers aren’t enough
Screwdrivers, pliers and a tool case are all well and good, but sometimes there is no way around a cordless screwdriver and 18V battery. Einhell products are now available at top prices.

If you need other tools in addition to the Wiha, Knipex and Wera tools such as the Zyklop pliers, the Joker open-end wrench, the Kraftform screwdriver or crimping pliers: the 18V rechargeable battery from Einhell is currently available again from Amazon Top prices with high double-digit discounts. You can also buy cordless screwdrivers, impact drills, angle grinders and tool sets from the German quality manufacturer, which has won the test several times with its batteries, at significantly lower prices. Lidl is also trying to gain a foothold in this area with its own Parkside brand. However, it does not necessarily have to be the discounter when it comes to power tools either – because Einhell is anything but expensive. Visiting Amazon.de is especially worthwhile when there are great discounts. At Einhell, of course, the offers only last while stocks last.
