Metroid Fusion will soon complete the 2D Metroid saga on the Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has announced that Metroid Fusion will be released on March 8th, 2023 as the next Game Boy Advance title for Nintendo Switch Online.
The fourth game in the 2D Metroid saga will be available to Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
Everything on one console
Released in 2002, Metroid Fusion follows bounty hunter Samus Aran under attack by the mysterious X-Parasite, an organism that mimics the abilities of any creature it infects.
With the release of Fusion, the entire 2D Metroid mainline will be available on Nintendo Switch Online, from Metroid on the NES to Metroid 2: Return of Samus on the Game Boy, Super Metroid on the Super NES and the latest installment on Nintendo Switch: Metroid Dread.
There are currently a total of nine Game Boy and Game Boy Color games available through a Switch Online subscription, plus an additional six Game Boy Advance games that you can play with the expansion pack.
The SA-X, an unstoppable X mimicking Samus, is on the loose, and it could be just around the corner…
