The blockbuster starring Michael Keaton provided the blueprint for future superhero adaptations that would eventually become the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, and screen adaptations like Hellboy.
Batman: Michael Keaton returns in The Flash
In a few weeks, Michael Keaton will return to cinemas as the aged Batman. The Flash should be the brilliant climax of the very inconsistently successful DCEU and initiate a comprehensive reboot under the leadership of James Gunn (Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy). But apparently another movie with an aging Batman is planned.
