Fans of Bigby Wolf should brace themselves now, because as developer Telltale Games on his twitter account reported appears The Wolf Among Us 2 no longer in 2023. Players will therefore have to wait at least until 2024 to continue the story in Fabletown. This means that the successor is a full ten years after its predecessor The Wolf Among Us (in GG-Test 8.5) will appear.
Telltale justifies the decision on the one hand with a change of engine (Unreal 4 to 5) and on the other hand to avoid the well-known and hated crunch in development. You also don’t want to bring a half-finished game onto the market.
The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released again in the well-known episodic format. In contrast to previous Telltale games, however, all subsequent episodes will already have been completed by the time the first episode is released. In the past, this was often not the case, and the developers often had to postpone individual episodes for weeks, sometimes months. This should no longer happen in the future.
The Wolf Among Us 2 is in development for PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Series S/X and PC.
