WoW: Beast mastery will not be OP after all – developers adapt buff
The upcoming WoW Patch 10.0.7 massively weakens the rare bow Neltharax the hunter in WoW and buffs the two ranged specs in return. The first adjustments would have made the beast ruler so strong that the developers quickly pulled the plug and trimmed the buffs properly.
Im already upcoming WoW Patch 10.0.7 many hunters are happy about a massive nerf, which will actually be a buff. The very rare bow Neltharax, enemy of the sky, is being completely nerfed and is “only” a very good bow in the upcoming update. So far it’s by far the best weapon you can carry as a Beast Mastery or Marksmanship hunter.
By weakening the bow, both hunter specializations get a buff at the same time, so all the lucky players who already have the bow don’t suddenly deal less damage after the nerf. With this buff, the developers probably meant it a little too well. Because after a few days on the PTR, they realized that the numbers are way too high.
Buff is now smaller
There seems to be nothing wrong with the marksmanship hunters, which also corresponds to our experience from the PTR. However, Beast Mastery hunters had to be slowed down massively. Thanks to the buffs, they increased their damage on the PTR by about 16.5 percent (single target damage). Even hunters who owned the rare bow still got about an eight percent buff from the adjustments. Therefore, the developers are now massively reducing the buffs.
- The damage from kill order is increased by 10 percent (previously 25 percent).
- The damage from barbed arrow is increased by 12 percent (previously 25 percent).
- The damage from stomp will be increased by 25 percent (stays as is).
- The damage from cobra shot will be increased by 50 percent (stays as is).
So that the area damage of the Beast Mastery hunters does not decrease too much due to the reduced buffs, the developers have slightly increased the Beastmaster’s cleave damage.
- killing blows Now transfers 60 percent of Kill Command’s damage (from 50 percent)
This should still give the Beast Mastery Hunters a small buff, but not massively increase their power as they would have otherwise. Until Patch 10.0.7 comes to the live servers, one or the other of the numbers can of course change.
Are you already excited for Patch 10.0.7 and the new content that comes with it? Or do you still have enough to do on the previous Dragon Islands so that you can’t even think about dealing with new tasks and content? Maybe you’re just looking forward to the paladin class overhaul or the hunter adjustments.
