WoW Patch 10.0.7: The Forbidden Island – Outlook from Blizzard

Recently the developers of WoW: Dragonflight have more information about Patch 10.0.7 published, the the According to the people at Blizzard, it should be released “soon”.. We expect March 8, 2023, but this has not yet been confirmed. The official blog post only reads like an announcement of the release and does not reveal a date, but in another post we get official information about the Forbidden Island and especially the Zskera Vault for the first time.

There we will with that onyx base ring and familiarized with the Primeval Stones. After the developers have already shown us in detail, How Primeval Stones workthey give a few examples of the new equipment system in the official introduction.

With a bit of imagination, the Forbidden Island looks like a turtle. Your adventure starts at the turtle’s head in the west on Morqut Island. There you will meet various vendors and quest givers who will willingly send you on your first adventures on the Forbidden Island. Keep your eyes peeled for treasure and bonus objectives as you explore the mysteries of the Forbidden Island. You never know what interesting new items you may find and who will reward you for them.

Faction envoys

You can choose between the Dragonscale Expedition, the Tuskarr of Iskaara, the Maruuk Centaurs, and the Valdrakken Accord. If you help one of these factions each day, you’ll earn 10 percent reputation for that faction.

Occasionally, envoys will send you on quests that can give you additional reputation and elemental abundance, which you can then exchange for new rewards at envoy traders. This includes four new customization options for the dragon ride, the battle pet Nagi, and the Noble Bruffelch mount.

New Treasures – VAULTS OF ZSKERA

The game has started and treasures await you in the Zskera Vaults. Players can enter a random treasure room where they face puzzles, monsters and secrets. Each dungeon can only be completed by your character and until the next weekly reset (probably “only once per character” editor’s note). In addition, every week you can let the black dragon Voraxian send you on a new quest in the dungeon, where you will uncover long-forgotten tales.

KEY, PLEASE

Pathfinder Jeb and Pathfinder Tacha will help you start your adventure in the Dungeon and grant you the first 6 Zskera Dungeon Keys. But to gain access to more doors in the vault, you’ll need to look around the Forbidden Island for more keys.

Each door in the vault requires its own key. Keys are account-bound, so feel free to use them with your supporting characters to continue earning progress in the dungeon.

THE ONYX PEDESTAL RING AND PRIMEVAL STONES

When you first venture into the Zskera Vaults, you will see the Unusual Ring quest. If you bring the ring to the researcher Imareth in Morqut Village, he will reward you with the Onyx Socket Ring. This is an experiment by Neltharion. You can infuse the socket ring with the power of the elements by socketing up to three primeval stones. You can find these primeval stones by discovering treasures in the vault. Each combination offers new and interesting synergies. So tinker with fascinating results that will support you on the Forbidden Island and beyond.

Invest: When you deal magic damage, you have a chance to fire arcane missiles for each family of primeval stones you have equipped, dealing arcane damage to each.

Invest: When you critically strike an enemy, you have a chance to shock them and 2 nearby enemies, dealing Nature damage.

Primeval Stones can be smashed into fragments and repurposed into an item to upgrade your favorite stones (using your trusted jewelcutter). You can also use these fragments to purchase newer stones from Researcher Imareth. Stones are divided into families. So even if you can’t choose a specific stone, you can focus on one family.

And you don’t need to be afraid of losing the primeval stones used. You can exchange them for other stones without destroying them.

New Event: Mega Storm

The effect of Raszageth’s escape is still clearly felt near her prison, and the primordial storms made up of the various elements still besiege the area in front of her prison. Adventurers who complete these storm events will be rewarded with upgraded gear from Primal Storms.

You’ll also collect elemental abundance as you confront the mysteries and creatures of the Forbidden Island. Elemental Abundance can be exchanged for gear on Morqut Isle or with Mythressa on Valdrakken.

New dragon races and pet battles

Take to the skies and fly through six new races on the Forbidden Island. You’ll also gain access to new dragon riding abilities. But be prepared for small dangers when you fly the circuit, the sky is not yours alone.
