The climactic finale of the first season of The Last of Us draws near, where we’ll find out the fate of this current arc for Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal). But it’s not the end before we have to wait for the second season.
To make up for the lack of the series, HBO Max has announced that there will be a special behind the scenes that will give us a little more of the stellar duo with the ensemble of the series along with showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin in The Making of The The last of us.
Joined by creatives from HBO and PlayStation, the special will delve into bringing the critically acclaimed video game to life with the cast and crew. I’m excited to see more of the clicker’s grotesque design and what was done to make some of the changes to how they are presented on screen compared to how they look in-game. And, of course, we hope to see more of Bill and Frank, although, to be honest, we’d like 100 more hours of that.
The season finale of The Last of Us airs this Sunday on HBO and HBO Max and The Making of The Last of Us will be released right after, while we’re probably still crying.
Go behind the scenes with the cast and crew of #TheLastofUs to see how they brought the show to life in a special behind the scenes featurette.
