A new The Lord of the Rings – Gollumtrailer was released during yesterday’s Nacon Connect 2023. The stealth game is scheduled to be released between April and September this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The trailer gives a deeper look into the game’s story and gameplay that Daedalic hasn’t shown in a while. The last big trailer was a little longer ago, July 2022. In the new story trailer, Gollum meets people and monsters such as the magician Gandalf, the wood elf king Thranduil, some Nazguls or the spider Shelob. The video description reveals that players will be able to access “familiar characters from the books of JRR Tolkien will meet”.
The Lord of the Rings – Gollum has been in development for many years. It was originally announced in March 2019 and was due for release in 2021 before being subsequently pushed back to 2022. Nacon eventually announced a May 2022 release date, before announcing a delay in July, noting that it would have to push the game “a few months” to 2023.
