Tintin: The Cigars of the Pharaohs was developed by the Spanish studio Pendulo Studios, which has been a reference in the field of adventure games for almost 30 years.
Inspired by an iconic adventure from the series of albums “The Adventures of Tintin” created by Hergé and sold more than 275 million copies worldwide, this new video game marks the return of the famous reporter to the world of interactive entertainment thanks to a dynamic co-production between Tintinimaginatio and Microids.
Players accompany the famous reporter and his faithful companion Struppi on extraordinary adventures… After meeting Professor Sarcophagus on a cruise through the Mediterranean Sea, the famous reporter goes in search of the tomb of the pharaoh Kih-Oskh.
What dark secrets does the tomb hold? From Egypt to India, via Arabia, Tintin and Struppi finally track down a gigantic drug trafficking network throughout the Orient.
With all the facets of the Tintin universe and a story full of twists that are part of Hergé’s great creative legacy, Tintin: The Pharaoh’s Cigars immerses the player in the heart of a mysterious Egypt and other lands of infinite beauty.
Tintin: Pharaoh’s Cigars combines the best elements of adventure games and investigation games and invites the player to take on the role of an investigator/reporter: search, infiltrate to find clues and solve puzzles, using investigative dialogues, enriched with video sequences, phases of infiltration or even car and plane chases.
Tintin: The Pharaoh’s Cigars will be available in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
