With patch 10.0.5 of WoW: Dragonflight, players were given the opportunity to send the coveted crafting resource Primeval Chaos to alts as well. With WoW Patch 10.1, the resource is now completely devalued. Even sparks of genius are modified.
With the launch of the test realm of WoW Patch 10.1 Let’s learn more about what’s going to change with the update. Those who deal with professions on the PTR will find that Primeval Chaos is no longer required for crafting items. Primal Chaos becomes a gray item, but at least grants some gold when sold.
For each Primeval Chaos unit, you get 1 Gold. There is currently no replacement for the crafting resource. For example, if you want to have an item crafted via crafting orders, you only have to bring in the usual reagents.
The spark of genius becomes the training matrix
Another change concerns the training matrices such as Titan Training Matrix IV. They can still be used to craft Season 1 items, but you can now choose to craft Sparks of Genius. Spark of Genius’ tooltip reads as follows on the test realm: Set to Dragonflight Season 1 and Item Level based on Carafting Quality (382-395).
The Spark can be used for Season 1 items along with other Optional Reagents like Primeval Infusion be used. In theory, you can also choose a Spark and a Primeval Infusion as an Optional Reagent at the same time, but that doesn’t really make sense. Because the reagent with the highest item level is always used to determine the item level.
In WoW Patch 10.1, players will be able to quite a complicated new equipment system to upgrade items. However, the developers have assured that crafting items will retain their importance. What do you think of Primeval Chaos being debased?
