Cities: Skylines – Last DLC before Skylines 2 will be released in May
Now that Cities: Skylines 2 has been announced, work on its predecessor Cities: Skylines is slowly winding down. The developers have released the schedule for the latest expansion packs for this purpose. The last DLC for the city building simulation is scheduled for release in May.
The successful city development game Cities: Skylines was released in 2015 and is now eight whole years old. That’s eight years in which the development studio Colossal Order diligently released a number of DLCs for the title and thus expanded the game properly. Now, publisher Paradox Interactive and the developer have announced the schedule for the final content packs and expansions for Cities: Skylines as work on the sequel, Cities: Skylines 2, progresses.

Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order states: “As we look to the future, we prepare to finally say goodbye to Cities: Skylines
to say goodbye with a bunch of strong content coming spring. Cities: Skylines players can look forward to a wealth of free content expanding on the existing content over the coming months, as well as one final expansion from us at Colossal Order.” The developers of Cities: Skylines want to include the latest content updates Three content creator packs and radio stations will begin, with releases scheduled for March 22. A second set of content packs and a mini-expansion called Vacation with us will follow in May, but general support for Cities: Skylines is scheduled to last until March 22 to be continued at the end of the year.The Content Creator Packs Cities: Skylines players can look forward to in March are Miniature Africa, Sports Venues, and Shopping Malls. Africa in Miniature provides diverse architecture, bright colors and an individual mix of urban Africa in the form of 28 new buildings. With the Sports Venue Pack, players can place anything from unique stadiums to community sports parks that even want realistic soccer, baseball, or football animations. Finally, the Shopping Center Pack allows the construction of more than 60 objects, including department stores, malls and fast food restaurants.
The three new radio stations will deliver an African-themed radio station, a radio station with tracks inspired by classic 80’s movies and the latest new radio station will delight players with pop punk songs. The free content update Hubs and Transport is also scheduled for release on March 22nd and will improve the transport system for Cities: Skylines.
