CoD MW2 & Warzone 2 grab a hammer feature from Battlefield 2042 – your eyes are happy
Beenox, a studio behind Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, has announced a new feature for Season 2 Reloaded. In the future, you can decide for yourself whether you want to be blinded by flashbang grenades or whether your screen should be darkened.
Flash grenades split the Call of Duty community. While some players have tactical gear as a permanent fixture in their loadout, other players demonize any opponent who throws it around.
The fact that flashbang grenades are so controversial is certainly also due to the fact that their blinding effect is perceived differently by each player. Some people have a high tolerance for the bright flash of the screen. Other people, on the other hand, are more affected by the effect, which can then become noticeable, for example, with headaches.
No wonder, then, that some players on reddit have already called for a nerf or change in the effect. The developers are now apparently complying with this wish and are using a mechanism for which the competitor Battlefield 2042 was recently celebrated.
But not only stun grenades dazzle opponents, in the current offshoot of the Call of Duty series there are even telescopic sights that blind your opponents: CoD MW2 players discovered a visor with a hidden feature – “Telescopic sight with Flashbang upgrade, awesome”.
Season 2 Reloaded doesn’t just bring changes to flashbangs. The update comes with a lot of cool features. You can find an overview in the video here:

New option in the settings is easy on your eyes
Beenox, one of the studios working on Call of Duty for Activision, has now released a video on Twitter that gives a glimpse of the new feature. If you activate the option, you will no longer be blinded by a white screen in the future. Instead, your screen will dim for a few seconds.
With Season 2 Reloaded, the developers are not only working on the effect of the stun grenades. The meanest weapon should be nerfed and a killstreak will disappear.
If you now think that your favorite tactical equipment is losing its value, we can reassure you. The effect is the same: your opponents become disoriented for a few seconds. However, the effect is much easier on the eyes, so it’s a win-win.
The reactions to it are positive, the tweets from the developers were able to collect many thousands of likes within a short time. The Twitter user @BbqChkn43 for example thinks this is a pretty cool feature and many other users agree.
When asked by the community whether this was only available for the PC, the developers responded promptly: The feature will be available on all platforms and in all game modes.
