Ghostwire: Tokyo will be released on April 12, 2023 for Xbox.
On April 12, Bethesda Softworks and Tango Gameworks are releasing a remastered and expanded version of the supernatural action game Ghostwire: Tokyo for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass for PC. The Spider’s Thread update adds new content and an additional game mode to the game – and this even more sinister version of Tokyo will also be available to players on Xbox and PC from Day 1 via Xbox Game Pass.
The Spider’s Thread introduces a brand new game mode, new areas to explore, enhanced cutscenes, comfort improvements, and more. The update is also free for all Ghostwire: Tokyo owners on PC and PlayStation.
New game mode: The Spider’s Thread
The new game mode is an addition to the main game. Here players fight their way through 30 levels (from a choice of 120 carefully curated levels. The goal? Easier said than done: reach the end of the last level. Complete challenges and levels, unlock skills and collect currency you spend on improvements.
New areas, more story
The Spider’s Thread update adds new locations to the main game, including a haunted middle school. Of course, these areas also offer new missions and puzzles to uncover. The main story, meanwhile, delights with extended cutscenes that give the player a deeper insight into the story as the duo of Akito and KK tries to stop Hannya’s insidious plan and save Tokyo from destruction.
New skills against new enemies
The new update also brings new dangerous visitors to Tokyo, e.g. B. the Silent Gaze or the Elusive Vengeance. To defeat these new foes, Akito must use new skills, including Charged Attack and Heavy Counter Attack.
