Hearthstone: Festival of Legends – the next expansion is all about music!
Blizzard’s trading card game has always featured either a location, a villain, or a group of people for each new expansion. With Festival of Legends, Hearthstone developers are taking a new approach and taking music as the theme for the next card set.
The infamous ETC aka god of metal gathers the best musicians from across Azeroth to create the largest music festival in history. From rock to hip-hop and from metal to pop, every class performs. You go into battle with Harmony spells, your weapon is an instrument, and you finish off your opponent with a finale. The expansion also features a new mechanic for the Priest, though it has nothing to do specifically with Festival of Legends.

Distinctive cards also lay in the Festival of Legends a great performance! The distinctive cards Festival of Legends feature new golden animations, a bold color scheme, and thinner frames to let you see more of the special alternate graphics. Also, the map text has been removed and is now shown in a tooltip when you mouse over the map. So the graphics are now in the limelight. Distinctive cards off Festival of Legends can be made from normal or gold packs of Festival of Legends or obtained in special ways such as events and the rewards path.*
As of patch 26.0, all prominent cards (even those from March of the Lich King) have the usual anti-duplicate protections and can be disenchanted (but not crafted, wanting them to still feel super rare and special). Check out the 26.0 patch notes for more details on the new and improved distinctive cards.
