from Stephen Wilke
The VR headset Meta Quest Pro has been on the market since the end of 2022 and previously cost around 1,800 euros, but the price has now fallen significantly. The standalone virtual reality glasses, which are also suitable for mixed reality applications, are now being offered by several retailers for 1,199 euros.

The VR headset Meta Quest Pro has not been on the market for long: the VR glasses were officially presented in October 2022. The product was only launched later in Germany, so there is no Facebook account requirement. So you can use the Meta Quest Pro, but also the Meta Quest 2 without a corresponding user account. The Meta Quest Pro is a high-end headset designed for mixed reality and virtual reality applications. Compared to Quest 2, it offers z. B. special pancake lenses for more image sharpness and a more compact form factor, high-resolution cameras for mixed reality, integrated face and eye recognition and updated controllers with integrated motion tracking. The VR headset offers 1,800 × 1,920 pixels per eye and a refresh rate of 72 to 90 Hz. In addition to 12 GiByte RAM and 256 GB of storage space, a Snapdragon XR2+ is installed. It is therefore a standalone VR headset that also works without a PC.

At the start, the headset sometimes cost over 1,900 euros, but in recent weeks it has usually been available from 1,799 euros. The current price reduction saves 600 euros when buying: The VR headset is now available from 1,199 euros. We spotted the low price at these retailers:
