The final anime season of the Pokémon series starring Ash is a recap of the entire run. This also includes one last big appearance from Team Rocket – and their farewell. It’s a lot sadder than most fans expected. Jesse, James and Meowth can really almost feel sorry for you.

That’s what it’s about: Ash is the very best and does another lap of honor. It lasts 11 episodes and is nearing its end. That means that we meet a lot of old acquaintances, wallow in nostalgia and say goodbye. Also from the classic villains of Team Rocket.

What happens? In the penultimate episode with Ash as the hero, the Team Rocket villains make one last attempt to kidnap Pikachu. However, this attack also ends as a shot in the oven and the three meanies have to admit defeat.

Tearful farewell: At the end of the episode, Jesse, James and Meowth go their separate ways. Your Pokémon are more or less stunned. Apparently Team Rocket is completely dissolving here and the fans can hardly believe it either.

The question, of course, remains whether that is the case really the end of Team Rocket is in this form. At least that’s what it looks like at the moment, but that doesn’t have to mean anything.

What’s next? It would of course be conceivable that Team Rocket would return in this or another form. After all, the anime series should definitely be continued – albeit with different protagonists. There should actually be a need for an enemy image.
