The Sims 4: New Infant Life Stage now available

New Infant Life Stage now available for everyone in The Sims 4!

Electronic Arts and Maxis today announced that infants are now a feature of The Sims 4. The new phase of life is available via a free base game update for The Sims 4 for PC via EA App, Steam and Epic Games Store, Mac on Origin, and for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Simmers have a number of options for directly discovering what innovations the infants bring with them. They can adopt an infant, find their favorite place for a romp, let nature take its course, and try out the new Science Baby Interaction, which allows Sims to use their genetic material and use science to help create a new baby.

Or they can jump right into the Create a Sim Infant Customization menu, where players can directly create their infant and make it unique with a variety of cute outfits, hairstyles, traits that affect an infant’s personality, and much more. With furniture and decoration, players also create that Baby room of your dreamsin which her infants can slumber blissfully.

As in real life, infants develop the ability to express needs and emotions over time. Family members of all ages can care for the infant and watch the little Sim grow.

The changing station and the play mat for infants offer new play and care options.

The more and the more frequently household members interact with the infants, the deeper the bonds become. This is critical to an infant’s development and translates into special reward traits that affect infants’ ability to form healthy relationships throughout their lives.

On March 16th, the new The Sims 4 Grow Together Expansion Pack will further expand the depth and gameplay centered around babies, including new milestones for babies, including the acquisition of new skills that will open them up to the world of social interaction and… explore their surroundings.

Growing Together also gives players 18 unlockable infant quirks – and with three quirks per Sim, each infant is unique.
