Dying Light Creators Announce Work On Fantasy RPG GamersRD

Dead Island and Dying Light developer Techland has issued a small teaser for its upcoming “exotic” open-world fantasy RPG.

Writing on Twitter today, Techland described the project as a “narrative-driven fantasy epic with an exotic open world ready to be explored.”

The artwork shows a human clinging to the branches of a massive tree, overlooking a fantasy landscape and a sky filled with a torn moon. Some creatures are also shown, resembling parrots and a lemur.

“We strove to create a compelling, story-focused AAA title that combines and refines the best aspects of the game that Techland is known for”the study continued.

If the project sounds familiar to you, then well done, it’s been mentioned before, but not for several years.

In 2016, Techland confirmed that it was creating an open-world fantasy title with RPG elements. “perhaps in a slightly broader sense than Dying Light,” studio head Paweł Marchewka told Eurogamer. “[Pero] they are RPG elements rather than an RPG game.”
