Far Cry 5 will receive “highly requested feature” for the occasion of the fifth anniversary
Ubisoft has announced that it will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the release of its FPS, farcry 5 with a game update. While details about the update have yet to be shared, the company did refer to it as including a “highly requested feature for next-gen consoles.”
The French company made the announcement through the official Far Cry Twitter account, and although it has not revealed any details about what the update could entail, the announcement indicates that it will be a complete update of the current generation for farcry 5 to make use of the features of PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
farcry 5 was originally released in March 2018. The game puts players in the shoes of a sheriff’s deputy who is sent to Hope County, Montana to apprehend cult leader Joseph Seed. After the initial arrest attempt goes awry, the player has to go through other members of the Seed family cult as they fight their way up the ranks.
farcry 5 was released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game was followed by a direct sequel called Far Cry: New Dawn.
