There’s a new batch of bonus games for the Switch.
March 2023 Switch Online games now live: After a long time, Nintendo has announced a new batch of bonus games that you can download with an active Switch Online membership. This time there are not only new titles from the NES and SNES era, but also two Game Boy games that you can play on the Nintendo Switch.
And especially fans of the pink smooch can be happy: Kirby’s Dream Land 2 is included!

The highlight of this month is probably the platformer Kirby’s Dream Land 2 for most players. In the Game Boy classic you travel a total of seven islands and take on the nasty king Dedede and his henchmen. The aim is to find out what the disappearance of the rainbow bridges that connect the islands of Dream Land are all about.
In the game you run, swim or fly through the levels and of course you also use Kirby’s special power: you can suck in opponents and use them as deadly projectiles. With the hamster Rick, the fish Kine and the owl Coo you even get support from three animal companions this time.

If you don’t have a subscription: Switch Online not only gives you access to a free library of several selected NES and SNES classics, but is also the basic requirement for being able to play online.
The basic subscription is divided into the following prices:
- 1 month: 3.99 euros
- 3 months: 7.99 euros
- 12 months: 19.99 euros
- 12 months family subscription: 34.99 euros
If that’s not enough for you, you can subscribe to the expansion pass for a surcharge. This costs:
- for 12 months: 40 euros
- for 12 months family subscription: 70 euros
Nintendo added Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games to the Switch Online service in February 2023. You can get Game Boy titles with a regular Switch Online membership. GBA games, on the other hand, only if you have subscribed to the more expensive expansion pass. A list of all GB and GBA games available so far can be found at the link above.
