If you want to buy a new CPU for your gaming PC, you often have to choose between changing the entire platform right away – or continuing to use the existing infrastructure. There are not always powerful processors for the aging mainboard. The situation is different with the socket AM4 from AMD. This was up to date for a good five years and a lot has happened in terms of performance in these five years. That’s why it can still be worthwhile to use the Ryzen 5000 series: for example from a Ryzen 3600 that was popular at the time. The Ryzen 5 5600 with six cores and 65 watt TDP is still popular with bargain hunters. It normally costs at least 135 euros, as a Mindstar deal 125 euros. Also discounted are the Ryzen 7 5700X for 175 euros (from 189 euros in the price comparison), the Ryzen 5 5600G with integrated GPU for 117 euros (from 124 euros) and the Ryzen 5 5600X for 155 euros (from 170 euros). By the way: If you buy a Ryzen 5000 CPU from AMD, you will receive Company of Heroes as a free game from retailers participating in the campaign, such as Mindfactory, until April 1st, 2023. The only exceptions are the APUs, i.e. the CPUs with an integrated graphics unit.
