Need for Speed Unbound will receive Update Volume 2 with new features

Need For Speed Unbound is now available worldwide

Need for Speed: Unbound will be getting a pretty sizable update this month with Electronic Arts and Criterion Games announcing this week plans for the volume 2. That’s not a sequel despite what its numbered name might suggest, but it will still have a lot of content for players to enjoy like more challenges, events, and of course, new cars for players to acquire. All of that and more is scheduled to hit the game on March 21 when Need for Speed Unbound – Volume 2 is released for all platforms as a free update.

Some of these new rewards include a custom Lotus Emira Balmain edition that can be earned by completing different playlist events once the update is released. For those who are subscribed to EA Play, you will get a 1971 Nissan Fairlady ZG that non-subscribers will not have access to. There’s also another vehicle that’s so far being kept under wraps, though EA is referring to it as “The Ultimate Luxury” at this point and is touting it as something gamers apparently won’t want to miss out on.

A total of 40 Daily Challenges and 15 General Challenges will be added to the game along with new Stamina, Rumble, and Race playlists along with updates to existing in-game playlists. Outside of the maximum vehicle rewards earned from completing playlists, players can also earn new poses, driving effects, and other customizations as part of the update.

For those who find it tedious to search for collectibles in Need for Speed: Unbound, they will be able to skip the quest by purchasing a new DLC that also reveals the locations of 260 different collectibles. It’s aptly called “Map Keys” and it will cost $4.99.
