Neverwinter expansion Menzoberranzan is coming to PC and consoles on March 28th.
Gearbox Publishing and Cryptic Studios have announced that Neverwinters 25th expansion, Menzoberranzanwhich will be released on March 28th on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
This major update to the free-to-play D&D MMORPG marks the epic conclusion of a two-part storyline and campaign created in collaboration with New York Times bestselling author R.A. Salvatore and Geno Salvatore that featured in the previous expansion North Dark Reaches started.
Players are now offered for the first time in Neverwinter an opportunity to explore the drow city of Menzoberranzan, believed to be the fabled home of the legendary D&D-Character Drizzt Do’Urden applies. In this new adventure, inspired by R.A. Salvatore’s popular book series, Way of the Drow, players will encounter beloved D&D characters like Drizzt and experience first-hand the events that took place between the last two books, Glacier’s Edge and Lolth’s Warrior take place.

Following the events of Northdark Reaches and the reunion with scout Braelin Janquay, Jarlaxle Baenre, leader of the Bregan D’aerthe mercenary force, has returned to Menzoberranzan. Civil war looms there, while rumors spread about a long-forgotten artifact that could turn the tide in Lolth’s favor.
Should such power fall into the wrong hands, the Underdark would descend into chaos. To avert civil war, players must delve back into the depths alongside the ex-Drinns of blasphemy and save Menzoberranzan from doom!
Heroes who heed Jarlaxle Baenre’s call for help will discover a wealth of new content in Neverwinter, including the brand new adventure zone, Menzoberranzan. To survive the deadly streets of this notorious drow city, players must dodge patrols and dodge lurking assassins.
As they explore this region of the Underdark, they will take on new quests, meet old friends, and face new enemies in challenging battles for epic rewards.
For the 10th anniversary of Neverwinter, Dungeons & Dragons fans and Neverwinter players have a chance to challenge the beholder deity Gzemnid and loot rare treasures.
Drawn by the terrifying potential of the powerful Eye of Odran artifact, Gzemnid has taken physical form in his reliquary, awaiting those foolish or brave enough to defy a beholder god. In addition to this trial, the new expansion also features various gameplay improvements, such as companion balance adjustments, changes to the insignia in the mount system, and new rewards for all date event stores.
