Original article from 02/23/2023: Valve announced in the second half of the year that Steam Sales would be streamlined. The schedule for Steam promotions and events for 2023 is now available. Seasonal discounts are now running four times a year on Steam. All published games are invited to participate in these events with a discount. In addition, the Mystery Festival already showed that there should be more thematic activities. Each of these promotions highlights a category of games, which at the same time also determines the corresponding eligibility criteria. These promotions/events prioritize discounted titles, but also provide space for free games, upcoming new releases, and games with demos.
Steam is rearranging the sales: spring is being upgraded
