There is one feature in the Diablo 4 beta that you will only see if you play in the evening or early in the morning
In the upcoming Diablo 4 beta tests, one feature will only be available at certain times. The only world boss you can fight is only there for 2 hours in the morning and evening according to German time. If you want to see him, you have to set the alarm clock.
Why should I play in the morning or in the evening? From 17th to 20th March and from 24.-27. March are the beta weekends of Diablo 4. During this time you can create characters and level them up to level 25, explore the entire prologue and act 1.
Also available is one of the game’s world bosses: Ashava. World bosses are enemies in Diablo 4 that you must defeat to unlock higher difficulties. They are designed for larger groups of players.
Since Diablo 4 offers a shared world, you should automatically be thrown together with other players when fighting Ashava. However, the boss only appears 4 times per test.
What times does the boss appear? According to that Blizzard Beta Guide you can fight Ashava at the following times:
- In the pre-order beta
- Saturday, March 18 at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. German time
- Sunday, March 19 at 06:00 and 08:00 German time
- In the open beta
- Saturday, March 25 at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. German time
- Sunday, March 26 at 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. German time (remember the time change)
For a victory you get “rich loot”, probably strong items, maybe even Legendaries. According to current information, the fight is designed for 12 players. In co-op you can already play with groups of 4 players – even in crossplay with all platforms.

World boss only at certain times – everything else is free
What else is in the beta? You can watch everything else in the beta that you would normally watch in Act 1 of Diablo 4. However, only the Huntress, the Barbarian, and the Sorceress are available for the pre-order beta. For the open beta you can play all 5 classes of Diablo 4.
You can level up to level 25 and already at level 20 you will receive a reward for participating. We don’t yet know which level you need for the world boss – but it probably won’t be too difficult with enough players.
How long can I play? The beta ends on Monday at 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. You can already start the preload, but you should hurry. With texture packs, the download is a whopping 85 GB.
Otherwise there is no limit in your way. You won’t level up after level 25, but you can farm as much as you want. If you don’t know exactly which class you want to play, you can find an overview here:
