WoW WotLK Classic: EU guild masters Ulduar with all hardmodes in 65 minutes
New ID, new speedrun attempts in Ulduar from WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic. On March 14, 2023, the EU guild “none of the above” achieved an impressive time and defeated all bosses (including hardmodes) in just under 65 minutes.
Since then, the Blizzard developers nerfed XT-002 deconstructor’s unbreakable 25 hardmode, in WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic it is finally possible to master the entire Ulduar raid instance with all available hardmodes. But which guild is currently doing it the fastest? And in what time?
Well, as of March 14, 2023, there’s a new speedrun leader! The European guild “non of the above” from Gehennas was able to master the Titan Fortress in just 65 minutes – with all hardmodes, Yogg-Saron-0, the hardest version of the Gathering of Iron and of course Algalon.
Analysis of the speed run record of March 14, 2023
The youtuber and streamer Sarthe has analyzed the entire run (in which he took part with his death knight) in a video, but alternatively you can also watch the Statistics of Warcraftlogs record run look at.
What is striking: not everything went perfectly during the run. In addition, a player could be Legendary during the run Val’anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings complete, which also took a lot of time. So it’s not surprising that the guild wants to reduce the record to under an hour in the next ID.
Setup-wise, the guild got through much of Ulduar with just one full tank (Protection Warrior) and three pure healers (two Holy Paladins and one Discipline Priest) (pre-determined players switched specs where necessary). When choosing the damage experts, “non of the above” relied primarily on warlocks (7), death knights (3) and villains (3). The team was supplemented by a magician, enhancer, elemental shaman, shadow priest, balance druid, ferocity druid, revenge paladin and hunter. We congratulate!
