Assassin’s Creed Red would have a Samurai and Ninja as playable characters

Assassin's Creed Codename Red

for now, Ubisoft has not provided new details of his upcoming Assassin’s Creed Red (code name), its next mainline title in the franchise. Although development issues were reported back in December, it is apparently in development and will have two playable protagonists, according to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson. Since then, it has been provided an update, revealing that the characters are a Samurai and a Ninja.

It is not known how both characters will play, but the teaser that Ubisoft revealed apparently featured the Samurai, who is female. The Shinobi is rumored to be an African refugee who has adopted the Creed, which lends itself well to the project’s rumored focus on stealth. Developer Ubisoft Quebec is apparently taking a style approach hit man either Splinter Cell for the game.

Players will be able to hide in tall grass, hide bodies, and turn off lights to hide from being seen. Although the game is internally targeting a fall 2024 release, it may be a while before that is revealed. Insider Gaming reported that Ubisoft is focusing on the game’s release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the announcement of Assassin’s Creed Nexusa virtual reality title.
