GTA 6: Leaker fuel rumors about "photorealistic graphics"

from Sarah Petzold
There is not much information about GTA 6 yet, but insiders are rumored to be rumours: According to a recent leak, the game should offer photo-realistic graphics. Publisher Take 2 has already indicated that this is not so unlikely.

The development studio proved with Red Dead Redemption 2 at the latest that Rockstar Games can create great game worlds with outstanding graphics. According to a recent leak, the upcoming GTA 6 should go one step further. Rockstar is said to be planning to release the open-world game with photorealistic graphics.

The release date is a long time coming, as is official information about the game

The insider and leaker Tez2, for example, claims to have heard from a former Rockstar developer that Rockstar actually wants to implement a corresponding graphic splendor using ray tracing and ambient occlusion. According to Tez2, this is “obvious and reasonable” anyway. In any case, this leak also fits with the statement by publisher Take 2 that GTA 6 will change gaming itself forever.

Meanwhile, further leaks provide information about the location of the game and the potential release date of GTA 6. The assumptions are confirmed that GTA 6 should play in a kind of fictional Miami and that we will be given the opportunity to control a female character. Overall, GTA 6 should have two playable characters that could be based on Bonnie and Clyde.

Meanwhile, Rockstar continues to remain silent about the details of GTA 6. Since the official announcement of the game there has been radio silence and we shouldn’t expect any news at Gamescom either – after all, Rockstar and Take 2 are shining with their absence in Cologne. In any case, when GTA 6 will appear is still in the stars, even if leakers claim that we have to wait at least two more years until the release of the gangster epic.
