Board and role-playing game publisher Modiphius Entertainment is creating a Skyrim board game which will include a sequel to the original role-playing game.

As detailed in an article by Polygon, the upcoming cooperative board game will include two campaigns, each with three chapters. In an interview with the outlet, game designer Juan Echenique explained that fans who embark on the first of those campaigns will be able to participate in events prior to the narrative established in their video game counterpart.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Official Anniversary Edition Video Breakdown and Update Overview

“The first campaign is 25 years earlier [the events of the video game]Echenique said. “So you can meet some of the [non-player characters] from Skyrim, but 25 years earlier, when they were a young adventurer and then they got an arrow to the knee, and it happens! “

While the mystery behind that famous, albeit somewhat overused, line of NPCs in stock is finally being uncovered, the in-stock NPC line is sure to catch the eye of Skyrim fans across the community, campaign two will also catch the attention of fans as that fans will encounter Skyrim’s famous Dragonborn from perspective. of other Tamriel characters.

“The second campaign starts before the arrival of Dragonborn and then ends after the arrival of Dragonborn,” said Echenique. “So you can see all the events that Dragonborn causes. You will come across the Dragonborn, he’s just a different character, and it’s really fun to watch that from afar.”

Aptly named Skyrim – The Adventure Game, Modiphius Entertainment’s tabletop experience is scheduled for release next year, and the company’s current planned schedule expects orders to be fulfilled in August 2022.

As mentioned above, Skyrim – The Adventure Game will form a cooperative experience for 1-5 players who will have to work together to complete the missions and challenges that the game presents to them. Sessions should last between 60 and 90 minutes, and players can choose their character’s race from a selection from the Elder Scrolls video game series (Altmer, Dunmer, Imperial, Khajiit, Nord, and Orsimer).

Currently, the project is being financed through crowdfunding Gamefound where fans looking to reserve their own copy can choose from three different tier options. These range from an entry level that includes the base game of the board to more lucrative engagements that include later expansions and additional luxury items.
