Niantic is launching a series of special events in Pokémon Go to celebrate the releases of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The facts detailed in the Pokémon Go website kicks off next week and features catchable Sinnoh starters with brand new hats, collectible Trainer costumes, and more.
Beginning November 16, Trainers can find Sinnoh Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup beginners in the wild wearing a Lucas hat or Dawn hat (both outfits shown above). Any of these Pokémon can also be found in their shiny variants! The event will also halve the number of steps required to hatch Pokémon eggs in incubators and reduce the Super Incubator steps to one third of the usual step count required.
Speaking of Sinnoh beginners, you can decorate your coach avatar with adorable costumes based on the trio (pictured above) starting November 15. These onesies can be purchased from the in-game store and will continue to be available after the event. although no price was given in the Niantic post. Likewise, starting November 15, new items based on the default styles of the Diamond and Pearl trainers will also be available, but at no cost to the player. You can see how they look below.
Stickers will also be distributed through Pokestop spins, opening gifts, and in-store item purchases. The store will have two packages available, get these items at a discounted price:
- Event Box (one-time exchange): 20 Poké Balls, one Sinnoh Stone
- Big box (300 PokéCoins): three super incubators, two incubators, a decoy module
