Ice hockey: home game of CE Timmendorf against Harsefeld canceled
The stricter corona rules are slowing down ice hockey regional league CE Timmendorf. The home game planned for Sunday (December 12th) is canceled because the guests from TuS Harsfeld cannot train due to the strict Corona regulations.
Corona: 2G-plus rule in Harsefeld
In the municipality in the Lower Saxony district of Stade, the 2G-plus rule applies to entering the ice rink. This means that vaccinated and recovered people also need a negative corona test. There is, however, a major problem: The test capacity in Harsefeld is extremely low with a maximum of 400 possible tests per day for 14,000 residents. And the Tigers are not allowed to test themselves, only certificates from official test centers are permitted.
Therefore, TuS department head Matthias Bergmann stated that the club is currently unable to continue the game and requested a break up to and including December 12th, which was also approved by league manager Götz Neumann. The games should be rescheduled if possible and only scored at the green table in an emergency.
