Intel Arc: Release of the first desktop graphics cards is being prepared

from Valentin Sattler
A note recently appeared on Intel’s Arc product page that speaks for an early release of the Arc A3 graphics cards. For the time being, however, the new models will only be launched in China.

After Intel has already brought the first Arc notebook graphics cards onto the market, the desktop models are to follow next. Intel originally announced that the first corresponding graphics cards would be released by the end of the second quarter, i.e. June 30th at the latest. At least so far there is still no trace of the models, but behind the scenes the company is apparently already preparing for the launch.

Arc A310 and Arc A380

At least one change speaks for it on Intel’s Arc product page. Twitter user @momomo_us, known for his leaks, recently discovered a button there that didn’t work, but said it should lead to the Arc A3 desktop graphics cards. In the meantime, Intel has reacted and removed the button again, but it should be clear that the company is already preparing the launch website.

So Intel is apparently sticking to the plan of presenting the first desktop graphics cards in the second quarter. It is unclear whether both A3 graphics cards will be presented at the same time, or whether Intel will only be launching the Arc A380 or Arc A310. However, the Videocardz website expects, with reference to unspecified rumors, that the slightly faster Arc A380 should come onto the market first.

It is also unclear when the new graphics cards will also appear in Europe. Three weeks ago, Intel confirmed that the first Arc desktop graphics cards will initially only appear in China. It is therefore still unclear when the A3 models will appear worldwide. In the course of the third quarter, however, the faster Arc A5 and Arc A7 graphics cards are to be presented worldwide, so that Intel will probably also deliver the A3 models everywhere by then at the latest.
