Destiny 2: Season of the Lost schedule and roadmap

After four weeks of Destiny 2Season of the lost, Bungie finally released the calendar and roadmap for the current season of the game. But unlike previous schedules, which listed the exact dates of events and missions, the Season of the Lost calendar roadmap is surprisingly sparse.

Season of the Lost is already in a unique position. Due to The Witch Queen’s delay earlier this year, Season of the Lost will run from August this year to February 22, 2022. That’s a six-month season, where seasons like Splicer and Chosen traditionally run for just three. . With the long season, Bungie has many seasonal events to include in Season of the Lost. And with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Bonus Pack coming later this year, the content drought shouldn’t be too unbearable.

All the events for the block from August to September on the roadmap are available in-game: reworking of tests (although Bungie is still playing him every weekend), new seasonal content, new weapons and the exotic mission of the scepter of Ager.

Festival of the Lost is the next big event coming to Destiny 2, and it will almost certainly appear in early October. This year’s Halloween replacement will offer players a new activity: Haunted Sectors instead of the Haunted Forest we’ve had for years. Grandmaster Nightfalls will be released on October 5, possibly the same day as Festival of the Lost. Sometime between October and November, players will get higher difficulty options for the two main seasonal activities: Astral Alignment and Shattered Kingdom. Based on the other things that will definitely happen in October, we’d bet the difficulty options will pop up in early November.

The December to February stretch is the longest, but it should include some interesting content. The Bungie 30th Anniversary Event begins on December 7 and includes both paid and free content for players. In particular, paid players can collect the Gjallarhorn exotic rocket launcher and traverse a new dungeon in the Cosmodrome.

December will also see the return of The Dawning event – Destiny 2winter break alternate. Moments of Triumph, an event celebrating the end of one Destiny year and the birth of the next, will also make an appearance earlier. The witch queenIt will be released on February 22, 2022. We’d bet that Moments of Triumph will enter the game in early January, right after the holidays.

Possible hidden secret missions and story moments are not shown in this roadmap. With Season of the Lost as a direct link to the events of The witch queen, it is necessary that many stories happen between now and February. There will likely be a season finale event, similar to the Epilogue in Season of the Splicer, planned for early or mid-February to get fans excited about the new expansion.

While Bungie may be able to post a more detailed roadmap with dates for some of these holiday events, players will likely have no more than a week of time before starting.
