Yesterday, it was revealed that a lot of Kingdom Hearts goodness is heading to Nintendo Switch to celebrate Sora’s arrival in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We now have more details on the games that await us, and there is a lot to unpack.

All three titles announced yesterday – Kingdom Hearts – HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Foreword and Kingdom Hearts III – it technically contains ten games in total, which Square Enix notes is “the complete saga of Sora’s exploits thus far.” Summarize all this content will be the ‘Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece‘, an all-in-one digital package.

By purchasing that collection, you’ll get all three packs in one, which means ten ‘games’ in total (although 358/2 Days and Re: Coded will only be a cut-scene collection here). The entire collection will be cloud-based on Switch, so we’re sure many fans will have their reservations, but seeing an entire series appear on a new system overnight is really something.

To explain a little better, here is a full rundown of how you can play the full set:

KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 MIXED CLOUD VERSION

The first collection includes the following:

KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX – The action RPG that first introduced players to Sora and the worlds of KINGDOM HEARTS. It has been enhanced with remastered HD images, improved controls, a redone soundtrack, and more!

KINGDOM HEARTS Re: Chain of Memories – After the dramatic events of the first game, Sora, Donald and Goofy stumble upon the mysterious Castle Oblivion and an adventure that threatens one of their most precious treasures: their memories. This game augmented the original action RPG of the series with an innovative card fighting system – it is one of the most unique games in the series.

KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 days (HD remastered cutscenes) – This story focuses on Roxas, a young man with a very special connection to Sora. This version includes cinematics from the original game, enhanced with additional text and remastered in HD.

KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX – Sora, Donald and Goofy reunite in an epic action RPG that takes them to incredibly memorable and unexpected Disney worlds.

KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by sleep FINAL MIX – This is a fan favorite. It’s a prequel that focuses on three new playable characters: Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. The story of these three friends is heartfelt, emotional, and has important implications for the KINGDOM HEARTS saga.

KINGDOM HEARTS Re: Coded (HD Remastered Cinematic) – This story takes a virtual Sora, appropriately named Data Sora, into a digital world to find answers to a mysterious message. The collection features only enhanced cinematics.

KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue CLOUD VERSION

The Second Collection offers you:

KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD – Sora and his best friend Riku take their Mark of Mastery exams to become true Keyblade wielders. It doesn’t go as planned.

KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth by sleep -A fragmentary passage- – This brilliantly bite-sized action RPG puts you in the pointy shoes of Aqua, who debuted in KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep. It is a must have game because the events of the game lead directly to KINGDOM HEARTS III.

KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover (film) – This special movie takes you back in the series timeline to tell the story of the Foretellers.

KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC) CLOUD VERSION

The third collection includes the following:

Sora’s battle against the forces of darkness reaches its unforgettable climax in this beautiful adventure that takes Sora, Donald and Goofy to the new worlds of Disney and Pixar. They’ll explore a toy store with Buzz and Woody, unravel a sinister plot with Rapunzel, help Sully and Mike Wazowski show the door to the forces of evil, and more.

The Switch version also includes the Re Mind DLC as standard, giving you bonus story content, new boss battles, and a ton of additional features as part of your purchase.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get stuck in the franchise, or perhaps learn more about it since discovering Sora through yesterday’s Smash reveal, this might be a great way to do it. If only it wasn’t all cloud-based, huh?
