Tandem: A History of Shadows is an innovative puzzle platformer that mixes two different game styles and points of view with a rather grim atmosphere. As for the gameplay, you are playing two characters who help each other with the help of shadows. Thanks to Emma’s flashlight, she can cast a shadow that will be helpful for Fenton to walk. Tandem: A History of Shadows uses two different cameras. One camera is top-down and the other is 2D (horizontal). The top-down camera is used when you play as Emma, and the horizontal camera is used when you play as Fenton. Your journey will consist of activating levers, dodging enemies, pushing obstacles and other activities depending on the floor you are on. What matters most is acquiring a diamond at the end of each level.
Enter the different rooms of Kane’s Manor and learn about the unique peculiarities of each area: a garden full of spiders that you must sneak out of, a boiler room with a giant octopus, a kitchen full of small spots and much more. As you will be switching from Emma to Fenton regularly, you will find many different puzzles with your own twist according to the area you are in.
