Cooking is a brand new feature added in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 2.0. It allows players to grow and collect various food-related ingredients, similar to ingredient crafting, and discover various new recipes that they can cook and bake with.

How do you cook in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

To cook, you will need to do the following:

  • Purchase the “Be a Chef! DIY Recipes +” App Update at the Resident Services Kiosk for 2,000 miles Nook
  • Get a “kitchen” cabinet (while any existing “kitchen” or “stoves” will work, a stone kitchen crafting recipe is available to you after updating your app)
  • Acquire a recipe and the necessary ingredients to cook it.
