Microsoft tests family and friends subscription in Game Pass Ultimate – News

Microsoft closed two days ago Xbox Wire officially announced that a special family and friends plan for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be tested in selected countries and for a limited period of time. The new subscription, which is only for Insider participants, is only available in Ireland and Colombia for the time being. Only the main subscriber needs to be in the Insider program, up to four other people just need to have a Microsoft account and be in the same country.

In Ireland, for example, the new subscription costs 22 euros, which results in a monthly price of 4.40 euros per head for five people. At first glance, that sounds a lot cheaper than the previously estimated EUR 12.99 per month. There is a high probability that the group tariff will be extended to other countries. A date for this has not yet been set.

Since the promotion is currently limited to the Xbox console and family members or friends can access the Game Pass offer via PC and mobile devices via cloud gaming, it is still not certain whether the Game Pass Ultimate subscription for PC will also benefit from the new discounted tariff will include.

Microsoft has also presented a new feature for Windows 11 users: the Game Pass widget.
