WoW Dragonflight: Awakening Coast & Obsidian Throne
After the dragonflights left their homes, the Awakening Coast slumbered for ten thousand years. Now that the world soul of Azeroth has been healed, the stunning primordial power of the shore stirs once again, waking the dragons’ ancient allies and enemies from their millennia of slumber. Alexstrasza invites Alliance and Horde heroes to join the red dragonflight in this vibrant and menacing land.
The land is filled with reawakening elemental energies. Long ago, the elements existed here in their most primordial and pure form. The reawakening of magic in the Dragon Isles has also reawakened this energy. Geysers and hot springs are everywhere, and mighty streams and rivers carve their way through colorful rock caves and sediments. Waterways lead into the heart of the land and the life pools of the red dragonflight.

Millennia ago, this area, like the rest of the Broodlands, was dotted with dragon architecture, but most of these structures have long since decayed and become overgrown. Volcanic areas are filled with molten earth and fire. As the altitude increases, the land becomes rougher. In this imposing mountain range, the black dragonflight Neltharus built the Obsidian Citadel as the Earth Warden’s bulwark to protect the Broodlands. After it was abandoned long ago, the Djaradin settled there.
The elemental magics of earth, air, water, and fire manifest in physical form everywhere. New elementals arise and wild creatures are imbued with these energies. The Awakening Shore is just the beginning of your adventures in the Dragon Isles. Help your allies push back enemies old and new to deny them control of this ancient place of elemental power! In the image gallery above you can see screenshots of the new zone and the Obsidian Throne dungeon there. Everything here is already at pre-beta level, so you can already get a good first impression.
