PvP world quests in WoW: Dragonflight: selfie massacre and crazy Torghast-style bonuses
PvP world quests in WoW: Dragonflight will not be the same as in Shadowlands or any expansion before it. You become a lot more chaotic. This is ensured by Torghast-like bonuses that you collect during the quests.
In WoW: Dragonflight you can again look out for world quests on the world map and also complete PvP world quests, which are represented by crossed swords. However, with the upcoming expansion, the developers are taking a slightly different approach to open-world PvP events. It’s going to be pretty weird.
The tasks mostly remain the same: Defeat either X players or Y mobs in the area. To make the whole thing much more exciting and, above all, crazier, you have various bonuses available, such as you might get from Torghast in WoW (buy now ): Shadowlands knows.
Unlike the Torghast bonuses, most PvP bonuses in Dragonflight are all very odd. In the Azure Mountains area, our Wild Arcana PvP world quest begins with being handed a selfie camera. With each snapshot we deal significant damage to opponents. When defeating a mob, we are then given a choice of one of three bonuses, most of which are pretty wacky.
World map self blast and selfie massacre
For example, a bonus is called Exploding Map. If we look at the map, that is, press M, while four enemies are standing around us, we’ll do a lot of arcane damage nearby. If there aren’t four enemies nearby, we’ll blow ourselves up. Our card even starts talking to us all of a sudden. Other bonuses leave a large pool of fire behind us or regularly swap our health totals with that of another player. If there is no player around, our HP will drop to 20%, then back up to 80% and so on.

The effect becomes stupid when a player’s corpse lies next to us. Then we exchange our HP with the 0 HP of the corpse and bless the time ourselves. Other effects randomly teleport you around the area, shrink you, grow you, jump higher, appear a hologram of you, drop cupcakes when you take damage, or grant you “a better time”. Whatever that means…
Many of the effects also increase our values or bring “real” advantages in combat. For the most part, the developers want to make PvP world quests in Dragonflight a crazy pastime that creates unforeseen fights. Incidentally, the PvP world quests can also be played without an active war mode. Quest bonuses remain active for some time after the quest is completed and can be reactivated later. In the quest in the Azure Mountains, for example, we activate an arcane fountain and can then let off steam near the fountain with the bonuses on opponents. What do you think of the idea of these rather light-hearted PvP world quests? We look forward to your opinion in the comments.
